Cross Country - Fall 2024
The Chatham Recreation Cross Country team is a member of the Lakeland Junior Cross Country League, which is comprised of about 16 other teams from Morris County. Meets are held on Sundays in September and October at Central Park of Morris County (formerly Greystone Park).
Eligible participants must be between the ages of 9 and 14. Runners compete with others in the same age group. An athlete's age group is determined by the age the athlete will be on December 31st of the current year. For example, if a runner is 10 years old at the start of the season and has a birthday of November 1st, his age group is 11-12 because he will turn 11 this year.
Race Distances by Age Group:
13-14 Boys & Girls (3000m/4000m) - 20010/2009
11-12 Boys & Girls (3000m) - 2012/2011
9-10 Boys & Girls (2000m) - 2014/2013
SCHEDULE: Practice times are likely Mondays and Thursdays
